Christmas Day.

The snow returned in time for Christmas Day, at Honeybee Cottage, snow covered the ground, and icicles were hanging from the kitchen window.

Eilidh looked out of the window and admired the wintery scenery. Snow covered fields, which looked like a BBC documentary, as she drove to Cairnmhor Farm with Isla and Rory.

“Merry Christmas!” Grace called, as she greeted them, and ushered them into the kitchen. In the corner, the Aga was on, and Eilidh was glad to get in from the cold. “Come in, let’s get a brew on. There’s honey cakes too.”

“I’ve heard amazing things about those,” Isla exclaimed, as she shrugged her coat off, revealing her pregnant belly.

“Och, you’re blooming,” Grace exclaimed. “Come through, there’s two very excited children who are keen to see you.”
